Radiance Films releases a new Blu-ray of Los golfos (1959) in September 2025, directed by Carlos Saura and produced by Pere Portabella (Films 59). This restored version reinstates footage previously cut by Francoist censorship, following a research and recovery effort led by Filmoteca Española in collaboration with Films 59.
Restoration
4K restoration (2024) by Filmoteca Española at the Digital and Electronic Systems laboratory, sourced from the 35 mm camera negative, 35 mm release prints and intermediate photochemical elements. Supervised by Javier Rellán and Patricia Uceda. Funding by ICAA/Spanish Ministry of Culture.
