Gran Teatre del Liceu presents “Liceu. 175 anys. Una mirada de Pere Portabella” (Liceu. 175 anys. A gaze by Pere Portabella), a work conceived by the filmmaker Pere Portabella as a tribute to the 175th anniversary of the Liceu.
According to the theatre itself:
“Pere Portabella, one of the most important and renowned film-makers in the cinematographic and cultural history of our country, author of such distinguished films as “Vampir-Cuadecu” and “El silencio antes de Bach”, takes a very personal look at the 175 years of history of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
With music by Carles Santos and based on archive images, the filmmaker from Figueres has created a magical and reflective piece about the time and space of one of the most important temples of Catalan culture. A journey from the 19th century to the present day.“
